#sometimes I just think about Sam in season five after he and Dean split up #sitting alone every night on a shitty motel bed #with his phone to his ear #listening to that message again and again and again #I wonder if he fell asleep to the sound of his brother calling him a monster #I wonder if he wished Dean had really followed through with his threat #I wonder if he ever thought the world would’ve been better off with him dead #did he ever wake up in the morning and wish with every fiber of his being that he hadn’t? #did he ever just lay there, waiting for some higher power to strike him down? #I wonder if he still prayed #but instead of “please save me” it was “please save everyone from me” #and when he was pretending to pray to god really he was praying to Dean
